I wish to thank the Altrusa International, Akron Club for their outstanding participation and contribution in our food basket program this year, especially our Christmas program. The members of the Akron Club took it upon themselves to ensure every child, where we delivered food for Christmas, received one Christmas gift properly wrapped and tagged. This was a great help as some of the families had 5 or more children. It is a pleasure to work with such a great organization. To add even more, they gave a monetary contribution to the chapter which will go into the food basket fund. All had a great time and you can see pictures in the 2007 photo album.</span></font></span></span></p><p align="center"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 18px"><font color="#ffff00"></font></span></p><p align="center"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 18px"><font color="#ffff00"></font></span></p><p align="center"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 18px"><font color="#ffff00"></font></span></p><p align="center"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 18px"><font color="#ffff00"></font></span></p><p align="center"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 18px"><font color="#ffff00"></font></span></p><p align="center" /><p><span style="FONT-SIZE: 18px"><font color="#ffff00"></font></span></p><p><span style="FONT-SIZE: 18px"><font color="#ffff00"></font></span></p><p><span style="FONT-SIZE: 18px"><font color="#ffff00"></font></span></p><p><span style="FONT-SIZE: 18px"><font color="#ffff00"></font></span></p><span style="FONT-SIZE: 18px"><p style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class="MsoTitle" align="center"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 18px"><font color="#ffff00"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 12px"> </span>November 17, 2007</font></span></p><p style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class="MsoTitle" align="center" /><p style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class="MsoTitle" align="center"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 18px"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 14px"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 14px">S</span>aturday morning the 17th of November, chapter members met at Farmer Boys Restaurant at 0700 for breakfast prior to our Thanksgiving Food Basket delivery. A list of needy Veteran Families is obtained from the Veterans Service Comission In Akron so that we have truly needy families to work with along with the pertinent information, such as number of children, ages, etc. In this way we are able to tailor the baskets to each family as much as possible. We usually get a list of 30 names or so, usually coming up with 20 to work with. The food baskets are not just for one meal, but will have several days of meals in them. These past two years we have partnered with Altrusa International, Akron Club in our food basket project. Altrusa is a womans organization that has fit in with our chapter extremely well. We seem to have a lot of the same goals, community service, patriotism, doing what ever needs to be done to make a difference. These past years the club made sure every child on the food basket list got a least one wrapped christmas present (furnished, wrapped and in some cases also delivered by their members along with us). We are working on other projects also.</p><p>Here are some of the past food basket pictures:</p><p align="center"><img style="WIDTH: 405px; HEIGHT: 288px" border="0" hspace="0" src="https://websitebuilder.1and1.com/xml/wfxdirect/res;jsessionid=706ED60344A96FA063D9597CF572B615.TCpfixus71a?name=PICT0248.JPG&type=image" width="405" height="288" wfxsrc="PICT0248.JPG" wfxtype="resource" /></p><p align="center"><img style="WIDTH: 405px; HEIGHT: 331px" border="0" hspace="0" src="https://websitebuilder.1and1.com/xml/wfxdirect/res;jsessionid=706ED60344A96FA063D9597CF572B615.TCpfixus71a?name=PICT0244.JPG&type=image" width="405" height="331" wfxsrc="PICT0244.JPG" wfxtype="resource" /></p><p align="right" /><p align="right" /><p /><p align="center"><img style="WIDTH: 417px; HEIGHT: 283px" border="0" src="https://websitebuilder.1and1.com/xml/wfxdirect/res;jsessionid=706ED60344A96FA063D9597CF572B615.TCpfixus71a?name=PICT0236.JPG&type=image" width="417" height="283" wfxsrc="PICT0236.JPG" wfxtype="resource" /></p><p align="center" /><p align="center"><img style="WIDTH: 432px; HEIGHT: 337px" border="0" src="https://websitebuilder.1and1.com/xml/wfxdirect/res;jsessionid=706ED60344A96FA063D9597CF572B615.TCpfixus71a?name=PICT0241.JPG&type=image" width="432" height="337" wfxsrc="PICT0241.JPG" wfxtype="resource" /></p><p align="center" /><p align="center" /><p />
